About Us

The New Young Comedians are Chelsea White, Matteson Perry, and Aalap Patel.  Before we talk about ourselves some more, read what Princeton University thinks about us (they’re good at thinking).

We produce shows that feature some of the best comedians from the New York comedy scene. The stars and eventual burnouts/junkies of tomorrow. Our show has gained a reputation, among comedians, for having great audiences, and, among audiences, for having great comedians. We also have free baked goods (the secret to good reputations). We’ve been featured in The Apiary.

We’d love to produce a show for your college, university, or special event. We work with comedians who are smart, funny, Talk to us about what you need. Click here to email us or use this address newyoungcomedians AT gmail.com

The Sordid Details

Chelsea White

Chelsea lost the lead role in The Interpreter to Nicole Kidman, just barely.

She is a quadruple threat, having earned the coveted “Extra Effort” award in dance class, and is also an ambidextrous baton twirler. No word yet on whether she was the local dairy queen or if she is a daughter of the American Revolution.

Chelsea has mad video skills, having worn many “hats” as writer, producer, and actor. You can thank her for all the amazing montage videos.

If she looks familiar, then you may have seen her on TRL as “The TRL Jackass” or in various other TRL skits. She also was worked on an MTV show, Friday Night MTV.

Matteson Perry

Matteson spends his summers doing his impression of the warden from Cool Hand Luke.

Matteson has written a few feature length screenplays, produced and directed some videos, and stood up in front of audiences and conjured laughter.

He hosts an open mic as well — http://standupnyopenmic.wordpress.com/

Aalap Patel

Aalap likes to appear well read. He is a nerd at heart, check the storm trooper coffee mug for proof.

Aalap rocks the mic, improvises, creates wacky online content, and was somehow in a production of 15 minute Hamlet. Check out his blog and be one of the 2 dozen or so indifferent fans.
